The Vikos Gorge has taken its place in the Guinness book of record as the gorges with the smallest opening which is 1100 meters at its narrowest point and its depth doesn’t exceed 900 meters. At the bottom of the gorge there is the Vikos river and at its end there is the Voidomadis river. Somewhere in the middle it is connected with another gorge which is called Big Lakos which is a part of Tumfh mountain, Both of them combined with the rivers is something that the visitor is worth seeing, You can go down the gorge by following the designated paths that start from the various villages of Zagori like Vikos Vitsa and Monodenri. The gorge is something worth visiting!

It has a characteristic water color and in its waters the Mountains Triton lives which is an amphibious animal which looks like a small dragon. These creatures have created the legend that in the area that dragons used to live. You can get there after a five hour walk from Small Papigko.
